Non-Ceremonial Cremation
Our non-ceremonial cremation is our most basic cremation offering, often referred to as a “direct cremation.” This package includes the funeral home charges associated with cremation, crematory charges, the cremation permit fee, and one certified death certificate. All services necessary to carry out the cremation are included in this package.
Non-Ceremonial Cremation: $3,332
Direct Cremation with Alternative Container – $2,875.00
This charge includes direct cremation without ceremony or attendant rites. It covers:
- A proportionate share of the basic services of the funeral director and staff
- Transfer of remains to the funeral home
- Transfer of remains to the crematory
If you choose direct cremation, you may opt for an alternative container. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.
Additional Fees:
- Crematory charge: $395.00
- Cremation permit fee: $52.00–$75.00 (varies by county)
- One certified death certificate: $10.00–$30.00 (varies by county)
Total Cost for Non-Ceremonial Cremation Package – $3,332.00
This total is based on cremation permit fees and death certificates in Mecosta County.
Memorial Cremation Service
Below is a list of services necessary for a "Memorial Cremation" to take place through our funeral home. Please note that cash advance items may be added to this package (such as death certificates, cemetery, church, clergy, newspaper, flowers, etc.). Your choice of urn or print materials may also be added. These items will be added to the base price if selected. The charges listed are for a one-day service or visitation after cremation has already taken place (with no body present for viewing). Note: Saturday or holiday services incur an additional $200 fee. Please refer to our General Price List for more information.
Memorial Cremation Service: $4,117

Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation
Below is a list of services necessary for a private family viewing followed by cremation through our funeral home. These are the charges for a half-hour or less private family viewing, where your loved one is placed in a bed-like setting with a quilt, and attendance is limited to 10 people or fewer. Note: Saturday or holiday services will incur an additional fee. Please refer to our General Price List for more information. Cash advance items, such as death certificates, cemetery fees, newspaper notices, or flowers, may be added to this package. Additionally, your choice of urn may also be added to the base price, depending on your selection.
Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation: $4,717
Direct Cremation with Alternative Container – $2,875.00

- A proportionate share of the basic services of the funeral director and staff
- Transfer of remains to the funeral home
- Transfer of remains to the crematory
If you choose direct cremation, an alternative container may be used. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.
Additional Fees:
- Professional embalming: $795.00
(Except in special cases, embalming is not required by law, but may be necessary for services with a viewing.) - Other preparation of the body (dressing, casketing, cosmetics): $350.00
- Use of facility, staff, and equipment for private family viewing: $250.00
- Crematory charges: $395.00
- Cremation permit fee: $52.00 (may range from $52–$80 depending on the county of death)
Total Cost for Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation – $4,717.00
Traditional Cremation Service
Below is a list of services necessary for a Traditional Cremation to take place through our funeral home. These charges cover a one-day service or visitation with the body present in our rental casket, followed by cremation. All cremation-related charges are included. Note: Saturday or holiday services will incur an additional fee. Please refer to our General Price List for more information. Cash advance items, such as death certificates, cemetery fees, church or clergy charges, newspaper notices, and flowers, may be added to this package. Your choice of urn or print materials may also be added to the base price once chosen.
Traditional Cremation Service: $6,712
Direct Cremation – $2,730.00
This includes direct cremation without ceremony and covers:
- A proportionate share of the basic services of the funeral director and staff
- Transfer of remains to the funeral home
- Transfer of remains to the crematory
If you choose direct cremation, an alternative container may be used. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.
Additional Fees:
- Professional embalming: $795.00
(Embalming may be necessary if you select a funeral with a viewing. It is not required by law except in special cases.) - Other preparation of the body (dressing, casketing, cosmetics): $350.00
