The Cremation Packages page outlines our cremation services, including pricing and options. Our caring staff ensures a respectful, personalized experience to honor your loved one’s memory.
Non-Ceremonial Cremation
Our non-ceremonial cremation is our most basic cremation offering. Often referred to as a “Direct Cremation”, included are the funeral home charges associated with cremation, the crematory charges, the cremation permit fee and one death certificate. All of the services necessary to carry out a cremation are included in this package.

Non-Ceremonial Cremation: $3,432
Direct Cremation with Alternative Container – $2,975.00
This charge includes direct cremation without ceremony or attendant rites. It covers:
- A proportionate share of the basic services of the funeral director and staff
- Transfer of remains to the funeral home
- Transfer of remains to the crematory
If you choose direct cremation, you may opt for an alternative container. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.
Additional Fees:
- Crematory charge: $395.00
- Cremation permit fee: $52.00–$75.00 (varies by county)
- One certified death certificate: $10.00–$30.00 (varies by county)
Total Cost for Non-Ceremonial Cremation Package – $3,432.00
This total is based on cremation permit fees and death certificates in Mecosta County. If your loved one passes away in another county, or if you add extra certified death certificates, the total may change.
Memorial Cremation Service
Below is a list of services necessary for a "Memorial Cremation" to take place through our funeral home. Please note cash advance items may be added to this (death certificates, cemetery, church, clergy, newspaper, flowers etc.), your choice of urn or print material may also be added to this package. Those items will be added to this base price if selected. Below are the funeral home charges for a one day service/visitation after cremation has already taken place (no body present for viewing). Note: Saturday or holiday services are an additional $200. Please see our included General Price List for more information.

Memorial Cremation Service: $4,317
Direct Cremation with Alternative Container – $2,975.00
This charge includes direct cremation without ceremony or attendant rites. It covers:
- A proportionate share of the basic services of the funeral director and staff
- Transfer of remains to the funeral home
- Transfer of remains to the crematory
If you choose direct cremation, you may opt for an alternative container. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.

- Use of facility, staff, and equipment for funeral service: $895.00
- Crematory charges: $395.00
- Cremation permit fee: $52.00 (based on Mecosta County, may range from $52–$75 depending on the county of death)

Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation
Below is a list of services necessary for a Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation to take place through our funeral home. These are the funeral home charges for a half hour or less private family viewing (loved one placed in a bed-like setting with a quilt) with 10 people or less. Note: Saturday or holiday services have an additional fee. Please see our included general price list for more information. Please note cash advance items may be added to this package (death certificates, cemetery, newspaper, flowers etc.), your choice of urn may also be added. Those items will be added to this base price if selected.

Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation: $4,992
Direct Cremation with Alternative Container – $2,975.00
This includes direct cremation without ceremony or attendant rites, covering:
- A proportionate share of the basic services of the funeral director and staff
- Transfer of remains to the funeral home
- Transfer of remains to the crematory
If you choose direct cremation, an alternative container may be used. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials (with or without an outside covering). The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.
Additional Fees:
- Professional embalming: $895.00
(Except in special cases, embalming is not required by law, but may be necessary for services with a viewing.) - Other preparation of the body (dressing, casketing, cosmetics): $375.00
- Use of facility, staff, and equipment for private family viewing: $300.00
- Crematory charges: $395.00
- Cremation permit fee: $52.00 (may range from $52–$80 depending on the county of death)
Total Cost for Private Family Viewing followed by Cremation – $4,992.00
Traditional Cremation Services
Below is a list of services necessary for a "Traditional Cremation" to take place through our funeral home. These are the funeral home charges for a one day service/visitation with the body present in our rental casket, followed by cremation. All cremation associated charges are included. Note: Saturday or holiday services have an additional fee. Please see our included general price list for more information. Please note cash advance items may be added to this package (death certificates, cemetery, church, clergy, newspaper, flowers etc.), your choice of urn or print material may also be added. Those items will be added to this base price, once chosen.

Traditional Cremation Service: $7,657
Basic Services of Funeral Director and Staff – $2,975.00
Transfer of Remains to the Funeral Home – $475.00
If you choose direct cremation, an alternative container may be used. These containers encase the body and can be made of materials like fiberboard or composition materials, with or without an outside covering. The alternative container we provide consists of a wood base with a cardboard covering.

- Professional embalming: $795.00
(Embalming may be necessary if you select a funeral with a viewing. It is not required by law except in special cases.) - Other preparation of the body (dressing, casketing, cosmetics): $375.00
- Use of rental casket and insert: $1,695.00
- Use of facility, staff, and equipment for funeral service: $895.00
- Crematory charges: $395.00
- Cremation permit fee: $52.00 (may range from $52–$75 depending on the county of death)
