Virginia Leone Boomer's Obituary
Virginia Leone Boomer, age 61, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at the Comfort Home in Reed City. She was born on October 1, 1963, in Reed City, the daughter of George and Nora (Moss) Tribe.
Virginia had a passion for traveling, crafting, and dancing, and she never missed an opportunity to go shopping or to enjoy an evening out listening to music and having dinner. Family was at the center of her world, she cherished time spent with her nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews, never missing a chance to spoil them. Whether it was a family cookout, a trip to a flea market, or a weekend spent yard sale hunting, Virginia was always on the go, making memories with those she loved. She had a generous heart and would do anything for her family.
She is survived by her siblings: Thomas (Teresa) Tribe; Nora (Bill) Hatchew; Dale (Mary) Tribe; and Schar (Jason) VandenBerg, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Danny, and her son Chris.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at the Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Virginia’s family will welcome friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. She will be laid to rest at West Cemetery in Green Township.
