Sherrie Lynn Chabot-Asbury, age 67, passed away on January 4, 2025, at MyMichigan Medical Center in Alma.Sherrie was born in Alpena, Michigan on November 18, 1957, to her parents Warren and Janette Chabot. She was raised in the Alpena area, where she attended Alpena public schools before graduating in 1975. After high school, Sherrie went on to study at Ferris State University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in social work. Sherrie enjoyed reading, cooking, storytelling, and spending time outside.She will be missed by her children, Kyle (Kaylin) Asbury of Mason, Kollin Asbury of Mt. Pleasant, Kasey (Jordan) Asbury of Potterville; Grandchildren, Violet, Madi, Braxton, and Makiah; siblings, Gary (Arlene) Chabot of Alpena, Connie Chabot of Alpena; Her nephew, Jeff Chabot; Partner, Tim Johnson of Edmore.Sherrie is preceded in death by her parents, Warren and Janette.A service in Sherrie's honor will be held at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Edmore on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 1PM. The family will greet guests from 11AM until the time of service.
