Seth Lee Rasmussen's Obituary
Seth Lee Rasmussen, 33, of Paris, Michigan, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025.
He was born on February 13, 1992, in Big Rapids, MI, the son of Richard Rasmusen Jr. and Virgi Ebenstein. He graduated from Churchill High School in Livonia in 2010.
Throughout his working life, Seth held several positions, including employment at Yoplait in Reed City. He also spent more than seven years on Mackinac Island, where he worked at the Inn at Stonecliffe and the Island House Hotel. Seth truly loved island life—the beauty, the pace, and especially the friendships he formed there, which meant so much to him. More recently, he was employed at Cricket Mobile.
Seth enjoyed playing video games, Pokémon Go, and cooking. He cherished spending time with friends and especially loved playing with his nephew. Seth was always willing to help others, often assisting his grandma and grandpa whenever he could. Known for his friendly nature, selflessness, and caring heart, Seth would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved making people laugh, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Virgi and Ross Fredrick; brother, Kaleb (April Swander) Fredrick; sister, Emily (Damien) Coffell; his beloved nephew, Finley Fredrick; grandparents, Rick and Cheryl Rasmussen; along with several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
Seth was preceded in death by his father, Rick Rasmussen Jr.; his grandparents, Arlo and Annora Ebenstein; and Phyllis and Alvin Fredrick.
A Celebration of Seth’s life will be held in the spring/summer of 2026. Care and arrangements are entrusted to Mohnke Janowicz Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
