Reed Arlen Badersnider's Obituary
Reed Arlen Badersnider, age 75, of Greenville, Michigan, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 1, 2026.
Reed was born on July 2, 1950 to Arlen Ray Badersnider and Jacqueline Reed - Badersnider. He proudly served his country in the Michigan National Guard for six years during the Vietnam era.
On November 10, 1973, Reed married the love of his life, Louanne Sue Baumann, and together they shared 52 years filled with love, laughter, and adventure.
Reed enjoyed golfing, traveling, and racing, and he was a devoted fan of Notre Dame football and the Chicago Bears—never missing a game. He was an active member of the American Legion and the Moose Lodge and belonged to Sigma Theta Fraternity, as well as the Eagles. Reed was also a dedicated lifetime member of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA), MRMA, and AMA, and had a deep passion for racing and motocross. He ran a successful sales agency headquartered in Greenville for over 30 years and cherished the time he spent with his loyal dog, Buster Brown.
Reed is survived by his loving wife, Louanne Badersnider; children Elizabeth Badersnider and Ryan (Amy) Badersnider; brother Karl Baderschneider; sister Robin Baderschneider; and beloved grandchildren London, Arlet, and Layton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus, Michigan, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Father Lou Anderson as Celebrant.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to St. Michael Catholic Church in Remus or St. Charles Catholic Church in Greenville.
