Nancy Kay Bowers' Obituary
Lakeview-Nancy Kay (Rowland) Bowers, age 81, of Coral, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, June 27, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1943, to Glenn and Carrie (Durst) Rowland. Nancy was raised in the Coral area and graduated from Lakeview High School with the Class of 1961. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Bowers on January 18, 1964, in Turk Lake. Nancy took on the role of home maker and mother to her two sons and later was employed by the US Postal Service as the Postmaster in Coral for many years. Nancy enjoyed cooking, attending Cowden Lake Christian Church, flowers and feeding hummingbirds. She had a large collection of hummingbird figurines and could tell you about numerous flowers. Nancy loved to talk on the phone and especially spending time with her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.Nancy will be missed and is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Robert "Bob" Bowers, Sr., of Coral; her sons, Robert "Rob" (Lynne) Bowers, Jr. of Stanton, Joseph (Debra) Bowers of Howard City; granddaughter, Stacy (Ian) Bowers of Stanton; 2 great-grandchildren, Lillian and Gidian; sister, Linda (Ed) Hansen of Coral; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Rowland of Sand Lake, Cheryl (Leimanu) Tom of Jenison; brother-in-law, John (Ann) Bowers of Manistee; many nieces, nephews and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Carrie; and 7 siblings.Funeral services for Nancy will be held at 12:00 PM on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at Brigham Funeral Chapel in Lakeview.
