Ida Grace Koutz's Obituary
Edmore- Ida Grace Koutz, age 95, passed away on August 2, 2025, in Greenville, Michigan. She was born on January 16, 1930, to Howard and Lelah (Stahl) Ayris. Ida Grace grew up in the Mt. Pleasant area, where she also attended school. On November 25, 1949, Ida Grace married Leonard Koutz. She had eight children before her 30th birthday which included two sets of twins. Ida Grace was an actively involved farmer's wife, taking on the role of bookkeeper while Leonard ran the dairy farm. She was very dedicated to her family. Ida Grace also enjoyed hobbies such as quilting, sewing, crocheting, jigsaw puzzles and gardening. She was a longtime attendee of Trinity Church and volunteered at the Trinity Church baby pantry for many years. She leaves behind her children, Edmun (Julie) Koutz, Peggy (Loren) Krantz, Nancy (Robert) Lohrer, Sandra (Mike) Weston, Karen (William) Brandt, Susan (Kevin) Willemstein, Martin Koutz, and Steven (Sandra Motley) Koutz; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great grandchildren; Sisters, Esther Spencer, Erma Foust, and Ilean Schwab. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard Koutz, and a grandson Gerald Roberts. Per Ida Grace's request, no public services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Trinity Church at 415 North Mill St. Stanton, Michigan 48888.
