Dawn Patricia Hansen's Obituary
On Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 5:58 p. m., Dawn Patricia Hansen, 82, of Edmore, Michigan, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and faithful servant of God. Dawn was born on November 3, 1942, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Jim and Pauline Irwin. She spent most of her life in Edmore, where she built a legacy of love, faith, and hard work. On February 25, 1978, she married Ron Hansen. Dawn was a licensed minister and, alongside her husband Ron, grew up attending M-46 Tabernacle in Riverdale, Michigan. Over the years, she worked at several local factories, including Hitachi in Edmore and Electrolux in Greenville. Together, Dawn and Ron also operated an adult foster care home, providing care and compassion to many. She will be remembered as a sweet, gentle lady whose love for her family and faith touched everyone who knew her. Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Pauline Irwin; her stepson, Ronald Hansen Jr.; and her daughter-in-law, Yayoi Morgan. She is survived by her beloved husband, Reverend Ronald Hansen; her sons, Jerry Morgan, Laron Morgan (Lisa), and RonBenjamin Hansen (Pearle Simpson); her stepson, Michael Hansen (Lindy); her stepdaughter, Dee Hansen (Mike Starner); and her brother, Timber Irwin (Lisa). She was also a loving aunt to her three nephews, Chris, Mike, and Rikki. Dawn was a cherished grandmother to Chris Morgan, Sarah Morgan, Brianna Morgan, Mathias Morgan, Saori Fujime, Ayumi Fujime, Arisa Fujime, Nathan Hansen, Jacob Hansen, James Hansen, Keith Hansen, Mandi Hansen, Michael Hansen Jr., Sherri Hansen, Kristen Nash, Mackenzie Nash, and Taylor Nash. She was further blessed with many great-grandchildren. Her life was a testament to love, service, and faith, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 11:00 a. m. at M-46 Tabernacle Family Ministries, 11098 E Howard City-Edmore Rd, Riverdale, MI 48877. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a. m. at the church prior to the service.
