With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Carol Kay Knapp, a beloved wife, mother, and caregiver, who entered her eternal rest on June 30, 2026, in Lakeview, Michigan. Born on June 24, 1948, in Lakeview, Michigan, raised in Remus, Carol lived a life full of love, compassion, and creativity, profoundly impacting everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Carol proudly dedicated her career as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Pine Medical, where she embodied the essence of care and kindness, providing comfort and support to her patients. She was a source of strength for her family, always eager to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. Alongside her professional accomplishments, Carol was a caring and nurturing wife to her devoted husband, James Knapp, and a proud mother to her cherished children, raising their children on their family farm in Amble, Bill (Jennifer) Knapp, Holly (Dan) Petersheim, Aron ( Erin) Knapp. 8 grandkids, 9 great grandkids. In addition to her professional dedication, Carol was known for her culinary talents, crafting beautiful meals for family gatherings and special occasions. She found joy in her hobbies, particularly weaving and spinning, where she expressed her artistic spirit. An avid animal lover, she took great delight in the companionship of many furry friends throughout her life. Carol's adventurous spirit led her to explore various places, creating cherished memories and stories that will forever be held close in the hearts of her loved ones. Carol's warmth, strength, and loving nature will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion, creativity, and unwavering love. Funeral services for Carol Kay Knapp will be held on July 7, 2026 at Christ The King, in Howard City, MI, at 11am. A visitation will take place the day before on July 6, 2026, at Janowicz Family Funeral Home, in Lakeview, MI, at 4-7pm, with a rosary at 6pm. Family and friends are invited to join us in celebrating Carol's remarkable life and the indelible mark she left on those around her. A burial service will follow, where we will lay her to rest in accordance with her wishes. In these moments of sorrow, let us come together to honor a beautiful soul who embodied love and kindness in all that she did. Carol was preceded in death by: her parents, Ralph and Gatha Mccall, granddaughter Ashley Drake, several Aunt's, Uncle's, niece's, nephews,and cousin's that she loves dearly. In lieu of flowers, family is asking for donations go to covering the cost for services.
