Big Rapids – Richards Irgens “Dick” Lind, 88, of Big Rapids, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, January 27, 2010.  He was born June 25, 1921 in Menomonie, Wisconsin. Richards is survived by his wife of 63 years Letizia “Letty” plus four children Christine (Robert) Hage, Caroline (Rick) Stern, Richard (Anne Marie) Lind, Catherine (Larry) Montsinger, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Richards served in the United States Navy as a pharmacist’s mate and worked as an engineer for the Ford Motor Company for over 40 years.  He was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Big Rapids and served as a board member of the Lutheran Social Services of Michigan.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and leaves a legacy of Christian faith.

 A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.  Memorials may be made to Lutheran Social Services of Michigan, 8131 E. Jefferson Avenue, Detroit, MI  48214.   Arrangements are by the Mohnke Funeral Home.
