Big Rapids – Glen R. Mursch, 72, of Big Rapids, passed away Thursday, September 10, 2009, at Metron of Big Rapids.

Glen was born October 26, 1936, in Grand Rapids, the son of Walter and Ida (Losch) Mursch, and lived there until moving to the area in 1983.  He regularly attended the Journey Club in Big Rapids. 

Glen is survived by his sister-in-law Ruby Mursch of Big Rapids; his cousin Thomas Mongau; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Theodore, and sisters Bernice Robinson and Alice Kowal. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 15, 2009, at the Highland View Cemetery in Big Rapids, with Rev. John Bookshaw officiating.  Memorial contributions for the American Cancer Society may be left in care of the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, where Glen’s family will greet friends on Monday, September 14, from 6-8 p.m.
