Big Rapids – Elsa Pearl Hubbard, Age 66 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, May 29, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family.   She was born February 10, 1943 in Hudson, Michigan to Kenneth and Inez (Jones) Ansley.  Family and friends affectionally remember her as “Pop Cake Perp.”

Surviving are daughters, Margaret Bier of White Cloud, Christina Bang of Brohman and son John W. Hubbard of White Cloud, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Also surviving are three sisters, Karen (Carl) Merritt of White Cloud, Jo Ann Ansley of Fountain, Faye (Neil)  Page of White Cloud and one brother Edwin Ansley of Colorado.

Elsa was preceeded in death by her parents, two husbands, William (Bud) Hubbard in 1979, Joseph Gacek in 1996, one brother, Richard Ansley and a grandson Andrew Albaugh.

Her family would like to give special thanks to God’s Angels-Mecosta County Home Health Care and In House Hospice of Grand Rapids for everything they did and for making their Mom’s final days very peaceful.

A memorial service was held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday June 6^th at the family home.  Memorial contributions to hospice or the family may be left at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
