Ethel I. May
Big Rapids – Ethel I. May, 87, of Big Rapids, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 5, 2009, at Alter Care in Big Rapids.
She was born March 28, 1922, in Chicago IL, the daughter of Francis and Lydia (Harvey) Bradley.
Ethel was a homemaker, a longtime member of Stanwood Free Methodist Church and the Michigan Woman’s Christian Temperance Union.
She is survived by 4 daughters, Dorothy Tanner of Saginaw, Violet Hamilton of Milford, Janet (Don) Davidson of Stanwood, and Rebecca (John) Worrall of Reed City: one son, James May of CA. 13 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Ethel was preceded in death by her husband Henry May on November 1, 2003.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday April 8, 2009, at the Stanwood Free Methodist Church in Stanwood, with Pastor Ron White officiating. Burial will follow in the
Goodwell Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8pm at the Mohnke Funeral Home.
