Big Rapids – Merle T. Walker, 70, of Big Rapids, passed away Monday, January 19, 2009, at Altercare of Big Rapids.
He was born September 26, 1938, in Saginaw, Michigan, the son of Morley and Alice (Bigger) Walker.
Merle is survived by 3 daughters, Sheryl (Paul) Sanger of Rodney, Teresa (Steve) Earl of Remus, and Victoria Walker of Mecosta; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, James Walker of Battle Creek; 1 sister, Loula Swets of Drummond Island; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in the spring. Arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home.
