Big Rapids – Reathel Isabell “Ret” Connor, 83, of Big Rapids, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 17, 2009, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
 
She was born August 12, 1925, in Reed City, the daughter of Ira and Rella (Donley) Prim. Ret was dedicated to her family and enjoyed family time with all of her children’s family. She also enjoyed the companionship given by her three loving dogs, Prince, Alfie and Coco Mo.
 
Ret is survived by one son, Terry Lintemuth of Big Rapids; 4 daughters, Cindy Lintemuth, Sandy (Jim) Bowen, Jana (Richard) Smith, and Sally Lintemuth all of Big Rapids; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Pauletta Sheneman of Kent City, Josie Vanderhoff of Chase; brother-in-law, Richard Wolfe of Wyoming, sisters-in-law, Jackie Prim of Newaygo, Thelma Lintemuth of Big Rapids; and many nieces and nephews. Ret was preceded in death by her husband Gerald D. Lintemuth, sons Gerald “Butch” and Kalvin Lintemuth, daughter Rosalyn “Poke”, brother Bob Prim, and sisters Maudie Hubscher, Ethal Mae Decator, Thelma Turbewille and Phylis Wolfe.
 
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday, January 22, 2009, at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, with Jack Vander Henst officiating. Spring burial will be in the Pine Plains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions for the Susan P. Wheatlake Women’s Cancer and Wellness Fund or Hospice of Michigan, envelopes may be left at the funeral home, where Ret’s family will greet friends from 11:30 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
