Big Rapids–Michael T. Vallade, 58, of Big Rapids, passed away at his residence in Green Township.
 
He was born January 31, 1950, in Wyandotte, the son of Charles and Colleen (Carroll) Vallade.
 
Michael was wounded while serving his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  Following his discharge, he returned to the area, and has lived in Chase and Big Rapids.  He was a member of the Reed City VFW Post #2964.
 
His parents preceded him in death.  Surviving are his step-mother, Muriel Chess of Beverly Hills, FL; his sister, Deborah Pinkston of Stafford, TX; and several nieces and nephews.  
 
Cremation has taken place, with burial in the Pine Plains Cemetery.   Arrangements were entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.
