Big Rapids – Ivan G. Wolever, 76, of Remus, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008, at Altercare of Big Rapids.
 
He was born September 11, 1931, in Webberville, the son of Jay and Grace (Brewer) Wolever.  During the Korean Conflict, Ivan served with the U.S. Army.
 
Following his discharge, he moved to the area, and was a truck driver and worked construction.  He also did small engine repair at his home.  
 
He was preceded in death by a brother Eldon
 
Family services were at the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids.  Burial with military honors is today (Tuesday), May 27, at the Everett-Big Prairie Cemetery in Newaygo County.  Memorial contributions for Heartland Home Hospice may be left at the funeral home.
