Charles Harvey Cass, Jr.
Big Rapids– Charles Harvey Cass, Jr., 72 of Colfax Township, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, at his residence.
He was born February 8, 1936, in Cadillac, the son of Charles Harvey and Jean Louise (Anders) Cass. Charles moved to Big Rapids as a young man, and for many years he worked at the Big Rapids Box Factory
On October 17, 1964, he married Louise J. Tribe, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Charles H. Cass, III of Mecosta, Charlene (John Peterman) Cass of Howard City, James Lyman Cass of Big Rapids, and Jean (Jerome) Hoskins of Howard City; 5 grandchildren, Andrew (Kim), Brittany, and Dustin Cass, and Caitlyn and Joseph Hoskins; a great-grandson Cameron Cass; a brother Donald of Traverse City; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Raymond and Jerry, and a sister Karoline Kellems.
Per Charles’s wishes there will be no formal services. Memorial contributions in his name may be left in care of the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, where arrangements are entrusted.
