Big Rapids – Jeffrey Lee Mayer, 55, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Big Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 9, 2008, at his residence.

He was born November 9, 1952, in Cheverly, Maryland, the son of Lyle and Charlotte (Bierce) Mayer.  As a child, he moved with his family to Big Rapids in 1958, and graduated from Big Rapids High School in 1971.

Surviving are his father Lyle of Denver, CO; 2 sisters, Marci (Howard) Radin of Englewood, CO, Tracy (Kirk) Badger of Paducah, KY; his uncle Dennis (Joanne) Mayer of Grand Junction, CO; and his longtime companion Jolene DeLuca of Grand Rapids.

Cremation has taken place, with no services scheduled.  For further information, contact the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids, where arrangements were entrusted.
